I’m thinking about attending state OCS and read that you’re paid as an E6 while attending. Then was told that effective FY19 it’ll be lowered to E5 pay to be more online with the federal program. Does anyone know if this is true? I can’t find the regulation change on it anywhere. I’m an AGR soldier so will need to know when I propose my OCS attendance to my COC.

I believe that this may vary by state. I am a recent graduate of the traditional program this year and was paid as an E-6. So depending on your state it may change.

Since when? I just graduated and everyone in my class and the one behind me are getting paid at the E6 level or higher.

I haven't heard of any proposed changes to that. I'm AGR and have worked closely with recruiting in the past year.
