I understand why we pay taxes; it is to make our lives better. It pays for our safety, security, and our sense of wellbeing. It pays for our children’s education, Roads and parks. All in all we need taxes to make this world do around in a matter that we as a civilized society have become accustomed to.
Now having said that here is my problem I see with taxes. When our politicians as a whole become too greedy and make taxes too high for purposes that are their own and we as the working class cannot afford to live. For instance here in Connecticut where I am stationed there are friends that my wife works with in Yale hospital (Making good money) cannot afford there 30K a year property tax on a fully paid off home (due to the EVER increasing taxes).
This same couple however had to watch a woman who just came to this country, never putting a dime into the system and got a 50K nose job at Yale off state insurance (that WE pay for). My thought is if you are receiving state aid then the state needs to put you to work. The infrastructure of the country is falling apart. Put them to work digging ditches, building bridges, and if nothing else cleaning. Make them work for their money the way WE all have to.
