I am reclassing to 25B and go to shool August 22-Jan 28. What I am trying to do is TDY in Route and clear my current unit before my school date. But if you are in a recruitng battalion you know we really dont have a S-1. My report date to Hawaii is March 10th 2015, which leaves me taking 41 days of leave. How do I go about this, and is it even possible.

If you can get "early reporting authorized" on your orders, you are able to report up to 60 days prior to the official report date. Then you wouldn't have to take a bunch of leave; just take 20-30 or whatever and report in February.

You should be able to do TDY en route, if you don't have an S-1 talk to your branch manager or whoever takes care of your PCS orders, they can put it in there, and also talk to your TDY people for your 1610
