It seems we (the quiet majority) are constantly giving up the things we hold dear to others that do not appreciate the historical, religious and social aspects of being American.

I am not trying to say that being a good American means that you must celebrate Christmas, what I am saying is that this whole attitude of "if I can't have mine then you can't have yours" is BS and needs to be stopped. We are surely and slowly giving up our haritage to the squeaky wheels.

Example, when my kids were in grade school here in Texas they went to school on November 11th, Veterans day. I am okay with that except the ISD closed for May 5th...Cinco De Mayo. Really? Another made up holiday with no ties what so ever to our heratage. Don't be fooled by those that say it is to celebrate Mexico's independance; that day was only a single battle that the Mexican army was victorious in and it is not even celebrated in Mexico. My kids did not get March 2nd off (oh come on now, you know this one...it is Texas Independance day, March 2 1836).

Every year it is the same story, someone wants to steal Christmas and it is not the Grinch, Here is the newest attack to steal away our heritage. http://radio.foxnews.com/toddstarnes/top-stories/school-dumps-christmas-to-appease-muslims.html
