I've lost 85 pounds so far. My secret? Keeping a diary. Really, that's all I had to do.

I've cut out processed grains and corn. I actively ensure there is no corn or soy fillers in my food. I haven't eaten bread in 4 weeks. I started eating a high protein, high fat, low carb diet and I've gone from 220 to 200 in 4 weeks. All veggies I eat are frozen or fresh. Processed foods are out.

I've also decided the one sized fits all diets are stupid and went back to the way they told us was wrong. I'm getting healthier, my cholesterol is lower, my weight is down and I'm having less issues with GERD. Besides that, bacon fat makes everything taste better.

Lastly, I started running on a treadmill once a week to minimize knee injuries and my last run was 3 miles in 36 minutes while shaving 45 seconds to a minute off my time every week. My goal is 28 min for 3 miles and 175 lbs of aging jarhead.

Now it's time to start that P90X cycle which I keep putting off.

Mine disappeared post-ETS. Stress is a serious zapper.

It's surprising how many eat to reduce stress. It's a bad habit...

CPT Jack Durish - I was confused when I first found out that people eat to reduce stress years ago. Then again, crying andsulking, over-training, nail biting, and burying oneself in work are a small selection of a long list of stress-based vices that everyone can't simply understand either.

Some medications are to be avoided for their construction of fat cells.
