The Democrats rigged their primary; the Republicans wanted to. What does this tell us about party politics?

The democratic party wanted one outcome and one outcome only so they rigged the system to get the outcome they wanted.
The republicans didn't want any part of Trump but couldn't or wouldn't lock him out the way IOT get the outcome they wanted.
All in all, what does this say about American politics and leadership?

I don't see how the two situations equate. The GOP establishment were open in their preferences for anyone but Trump. However, I never really saw them get behind anyone candidate. There were too many. I don't think you'll find any "secret" emails on the subject. They were quite open in expressing their feelings. The DNC, on the other hand, was pretending neutrality while working in secret to insure Hillary's win. I wouldn't be surprised if we will yet find out that there were some ballot boxes being stuffed.

CPT Jack Durish I'm really surprised that the Dems would do this, it just lends itself to HRC's low trust ratings.

In defense of both parties (?!? yeah that slipped out !?!), their goal is to get whoever can win against their perceived front person of the other party. One party just used a more democratic method, than the other. Which, in itself, is somewhat of an enigma.
Deception and manipulation is a legitimate means to accomplish you political agenda so long as you are not exposed to public scrutiny. What concerns me isn't just the DNC chairperson's efforts to limit Sanders (i.e. weekend debates) , but that this can be just be a look at unseen culture of what permeates modern American politics. The self-interest of leadership undermining the integrity fairness among the political party. It took an external effort to expose this information. No one had the integrity to speak out, but willingly enabled this bias.

2LT (Join to see) you are exactly right. Where was anyone with integrity to speak up for someone being done wrong? It was sadly comical to see grown men gang up on Trump but the Bernie thing was fixed from the start.
SNAFU. That is whyy I support Trump, in the hope that he will break the standard process that has served both parties so well. If he doesn't come through, in four years, dump him for someone else. Heck, who knows, by then perhaps the third parties will be able to muster a decent candidate to run against the establishment parties.

MCPO Roger Collins that may very well be the best scenario. I'm probably not supposed to agree with people this quick in the conversation but that's the way I'm leaning and why.
