Anyone else hear the President's reasoning in not arming the Syrian rebels and have a moment of "Huh?" as he mentioned that they were all Doctors and lawyers and office workers, and totaly unable to be trained as military fighters... does the President not recall that the American Military is exactly what he just stated?

I am glad that he is not arming the "rebels", my memory is a little hazy but this reminds me of a country called Afghanisomething where some "rebels" were fighting someone else and we decided to arm them.

Oh yes, I fully agree with not arming them... it was the wording of his statement that took be back... Stating that the Syrian rebels were not actual fighters, that they were all sorts of other things instead, and THAT is what I was having that moment of WTF over... as he described the rebels as exactly what our military is, made up of people with other talents and experiences who take up arms for a cause... and I'm not explaining this right, am I?
Every time I see those videos of ISIS, running around in Humvees and our tanks, I wonder how much of our equipment is actually left in the hands of the Iraqi military.
