If anyone ever gets to the Tucson area, make sure you swing by the Pima Air & Space Museum located very near the Davis-Monthan AFB. They have tours of the older section of the boneyard and what a treat. On the base, the boneyard continues with the modern stuff like F-18A's, F-16's, and of course the Army's OH-58D helicopter. Just follow the trail of my tears.

Too bad you need to have a special security clearance to get into the bone yard, LOL...

I was working the tower 1 Saturday morning and a pilot in a J-3 asked if I wanted a ride....ask supervisor Greg Harrold he said go ahead. Beautiful (slow) ride and pics of the bone yard.

See... it is funny because you can't see the stealth fighter.
In case you missed it.

Combination of watching the planes rust, desert heat, and the sound of the A-10s that causes this type of boneyard jocularity!
