We have seen many things about our POTUS that many do not like about him, and while we have all had leaders we did not like, we could usually pick out a few things, or traits/characteristics you could use or emulate.

So, list the things you do like, keep it professional as always. What did momma say? "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say nothing all."

I'll start:
(1) President Obama broke the racial barrier. He earned an education, became a Senator and a lawyer and is now the President.
(2) He has given millions a hope that one day they can do something great, especially those from under privileged areas.

(3) He has largely supported the military until as of recently with the downsizing, which is inevitable in every decade, our leaders have to make cuts...we keep only the best and brightest, right?

(4) He is a very supportive husband and father, and we need strong father role models in today's society where fathers are as rare as a long term-marriage.

I believe he honestly wants good things for America...I don't necessarily agree with the way he is going about it.

(5) He authorized the killing of Osama Bin Laden.

I know there aren't many fans on RP, but if there is something you like, share it if you dare.

I like the fact that president Obama is black. It speaks volumes that my country has the backbone to standup for what is right and elect a black man as president. He was truly better qualified for the job than his opponent. Now it is time to elect a woman. Not Hilary Clinton....My wife took over my personal finances before we were married and both were in the USAF. She has kept our accounts in good running order for 40 years. We will celebrate our 40 th anniversary in July this year. I believe a woman could help pull our accounts out of the dumper if she was given a chance. It may seem unfair to some, but women have a talent for things like that. It is part of the nest/home building instinct within them.

I don't think the military industrial complex will allow a woman in this clime and place...due to the potential threat to the military, the war machine...and while I may tend to agree with you on a few things. My mother was horrible with finances and so was my Ex. I think much of America would think like you do, and in some sick way would twist having a woman as a leader into making us seem soft.

Instead of meeting with Bejamin Netanyahu, Obama chose instead to be interviewed by GloZell, who has no academic credentials in journalism, but a whole lot of followers on YouTube. Priorities! Why don't we just let GloZell tell us why she likes Obama:

"A Marine who used his Facebook page to criticize President Barack Obama has been discharged, a Marine Corps spokesman said Wednesday.

Sgt. Gary Stein was given an "other-than-honorable" discharge, said Capt. Brian Block, a spokesman for the Marines."

Sorry but not one dam thing.
I would question it if he were to personally tell me the sky were blue.
I do not trust this man any farther than I could throw 1600 Penn. Ave.
My belief that he is at the very least a prophet of the anti-christ is not a reach.
The fact that so many others cannot recognize this snake in the grass, and would be an apologist for him, concerns me deeply.

I agree, he would make a better model than a president. I can just see him walking the Gloria Secret runway. Have you any idea how much of your money was spent on those tailored threads.

On second thought I love his logical fallacy. The president is the exemplar of the Radical Right's logical fallacy.

Obama is wrong thus anything he does is wrong. If he deploys troops to Syria he is getting us into a war we cannot win. If he does not then he is ignoring the problem. If he chooses to go to an event (funeral memorial rally whatever) he is grandstanding if chooses not to then he is not involved.

There is nothing this president can do right. Whatever policies he chooses to follow they are wrong, kinda like arguing with a drill sergeant.

What this exposes, more than any other president is the manufacturing of news to fit a preconceived political bias. In this case the conclusion is that the President is wrong and the opinions of the speaker are adjusted to fit that conclusion. If this was not how humans generally think (coming to a conclusion then finding facts to fit that conclusion) it would be sad.

The idea that Birthers, Truthers and their less extreme science deniers (people unable or unwilling to follow a logical investigative method for the facts to support their opinion) are in any way reliable is laughable. They fail the "Scouts Report" standard to of sound information gathering. (Like putting the S2 on OP and grading him on how good his forecasts were)

What this president has done for us more than any other is to provide a test about how we process information and seek facts. Will we maintain a critical thinking process and insist on accurate information or allow our opinions to be made for us.

Websites such as Tiny Avian, TPNN, Raw Story, CopWatch, Examiner Online, and RT are all opinion making sites, they agree with the internal bias of the visitor and support it.

When studies on political opinions and discussions were conducted on groups of similar political leanings the person with the most extreme opinion got the most 'Air Time'. When this is translated to media channels this equates to extremists being money makers. The more extreme the tighter the audience is locked in the more advertising dollars.

When an opposing voice is inserted the most moderate speaker got the most 'Air time'. Take a look at the biggest discussions on this site, watch the two extremes yell at each other then the moderating voice speak up. How do you feel about the moderate voice?

What President Obama has done is lay this pattern raw for the world to see. Weather or not we do anything about it is another matter.

Would you say that he has the most transparent administration in our history? Facts are not his forte.
