So I am in the process of doing my WOFT application (btw, if there are any one who can get me in CW3s and up, I would REALLY appreciate it!) I already emailed my senators for LORs and me and my recruiter are working on it.

So I am wondering if I happen to get selected, can I do something like a delayed entry? My recruiter says we can finish it before may but my friend wants me to go on a biking trip across the country with him, from the end of may to august. So I am wondering if there was anyway I could work that into my plans as well. Thanks everyone! I have been using this site for a lot of questions and the help has been tremendous.

Edit: I am currently 17 and won't even be 18 until July 9th, so it might be better for me to go to basic at a later time anyways since at Alabama you aren't an adult until you are 19. Anyways for me the Army is first before anything else, so if push comes to shove I won't do this bike trip. However I do really want to do it haha

The grammar in your post is atrocious. Maybe you should take an English composition class instead of a cross country trip.

Haha, sorry for offending you good sir. I typed it on a phone and it's a pain in the arse.

Considering that this is informal I didn't care much. If you want I'll revise it for you!

As for English composition I took that already. Got an A

Maxwell, it is called attention to detail. Ifyou get accepted into WOFT, and successfully complete it, the army will entrust you with a multi- million dollar piece of equipment. If you fly troop ships, the lives of your passengers are in your hands. These heavy responsibilities that require maturity and judgement. You can’t cut corners.

You should join as a 15T, 15R, or 15U depending on the airframe you’d like to fly. You’d get your foot in the door for aviation and you could meet plenty of pilots

Instead of going on a bike trip get your pilots license. It will help you be a better troop. Going in as a WO is foreign to me, I was a MSG before I became a WO. Warrants are expected to be experts in their field not cherry recruits. Aviators are different birds!
