Earlier today, I saw something about Toastmasters in a response to a question. Who here is or has been a Toastmaster? What was your experience like? Overall, I wholeheartedly endorse Toastmasters for anyone that wants to enhance their communication or leadership skills.

I see that there hasn't been much discussion on this topic. I've been a member of Toastmasters for over 10 years. The individual clubs help teach you communications and leadership skills so that you're effective and efficient with interacting with all sorts of people. As for the contests, I've participated in them at the club level. Sometimes, I think the judging is somewhat judgmental and who wins isn't someone I think shouldn't have won. But that's minor. I think that if you want to improve these types of skills, it's worthwhile. For more information, see the link:
