The QMP board has recommended that you be separated. The new ETS date is the first day of the 7th month following following the boards decision. I understand the QMP results have recently been released so you should be personally notified of the results by your first O5.

You are eligible for 50% separation pay. You are also eligible to be separated through a MEB if your medical history supports that. The MEB separation pay is much higher.

r. Flag code W “Involuntary separation or discharge.” (Headquarters, Department of the Army initiated). Sol- diers pending a Show Cause action, involuntary separation, or discharge (AR 635–200, AR 600–8–24, AR 135–175, or AR 135–178) to include selection for separation under the Qualitative Management Program, must be flagged (except entry level performance and conduct separations initiated under AR 635–200). Soldiers will not be flagged solely for referral, to include required referral, to the DES. The effective date of the Flag will be the date HQDA
initiates an involuntary separation action. The Soldier will separate and the Flag will remain on the Soldier’s record, this applies to both Regular Army and USAR Soldiers. HQDA initiated Flag is authenticated by HRC (AHRC–OPL–R (officer) or AHRC–EPF–M (enlisted)) (see para 1–10d).

You got flagged without any warning and just found it in your ERB?
If you didn't fail NCOES, didn't get a bad NCOER, haven't been Relieved for Cause, don't have a recent Art-15, didn't just have a Court Martial, and haven't pissed off a General bad enough to get a GOMOR, then your Bn CO or higher has recommended to QMP and they decided that you are what might be politely called "surplus to requirements."

There really isn't an appeal process, but if you have over 18 years you can probably extend to make your 20 and request retirement.

You really should have had some notice somewhere...

SSG (Join to see) - Yes, you are flagged for POSSIBLE separation. That flag code by itself does not mean your QMP has been decided.

You will still be notified once your QMP is finalized, and also be counseled on your required actions and options from that point forward.

SSG (Join to see) no, once the results come back you cannot appeal it. When you were notified of the QMP was the time to submit your matters of mitigating circumstances. Once the QMP decision has been made you may only appeal on matters of material error.

SFC Casey O'Mally the information you provided is incorrect. Whenever someone is coded W they have been selected for separation. Not POSSIBLE separation. When someone is selected for separation they are flagged W and their IMREPR code changes to 9L.
