That's another reason why individuals who join select a career field or occupation that can be used once they leave the military.

That's why the military offers a path for accreditations for members of our Armed Forces as a means to provide with some form of validation of the skills they acquired while serving. In my opinion this was a big step in assisting service members upon exiting the military. I still remember transitioning out and prospective employers saying that my service was not valued. They would say to be during interviews. That now you are in the real world, inferring that my time and skills gained were not valid in obtaining employment. I wonder how many of you faced the same set of circumstsnces.
