How far do you think both sides will go with this? If a major conflict started, how prepared is the U.S. Military to begin any combat actions?

This was a partial temporary halt to allow SK to respond to the shelling. The exercise has resumed.

CW4 (Join to see) Obama strikes again. Why not cave to Fat Boy Leader? What harm could possibly come of it? Of COURSE FBL won't now realize that he can get his way with future, similar threats.

I am disgusted.

True statement ! I might also add embarrassed.Recently read where our allies ( fewer each day ),indicated that to jump in with the US,it would have to be a direct threat to their country. .Another alarming statistic is: 80 % of recruit applications are being turned down. Our Government has us pretty well on Obama`s schedule.

Given the current troop strength, a draft might have to be initiated.

SPC Sheila Lewis, that would interesting. I agree that might be thin uncertain areas, but enacting a draft might not be necessary. In my opinion the current troop reductions would have to be stopped immediately just as a sustainment measure.

Yes, stop troop reductions and mobilize Veterans w/Honorable Discharge, to bolster the current force.

There is no need for a draft, when there have been thousands of military cut. Just bring many of them back. They are already trained.
