Not quite Sir; China opposes India, because the U.S. has nominated India and India is against the New Chinese Silk Route that passes through India, technically speaking.

Another reason for opposing India as a permanent member to the UNSC is that India began its nuclear program to avert China from imposing on it.

It is a misconception to assume that India began its nuclear program to challenge Pakistan, an archrival. Pakistan is a secondary concern for India in its nuclear weapons program.

This has been going on for a few years. China would be the biggest obstacle to that. Pakistan probably wouldn't be too happy either.
Any change to the Security council requires 2/3 "yes" vote of the UN member states and ALL of the 5 UNSC permanent members. Any one of the 5 permanent Security Council members can veto it (see China). But China has previously said they'll support India for a permanent seat on the UNSC, if India pulls their support for Japan's permanent seat.

Germany & Japan were NEVER PERMANENT members of the Security Council... only the other five you mention. The argument could be made for removing Russia since the USSR has gone the way of all rubbish... but arguments can be made for removal of France & the UK since neither is a global force. But that rules out India as well
