Rallypoint members,
A bit background, I'm a newly accessed USAR AGR, 25B. I'm new to the reserves as well. I was ARNG prior to becoming AGR, I switched to be able to accept the position. So, my post pertains to, are there any suggestions from seasoned AGRs; promotions, professional development, career moves like MOS Rtng, Recruiting detail, WOCS, Direct Commissions, and so forth.
I'm not even sure if AGR can apply for WOCS, I know that I can't do OCS, but not sure if same applies to Direct Commissions. At this time, I'm just looking at future opportunities or career moves, nothing planned, trying to be properly informed to stay ahead of the game.

you can always apply to move forward, but check the websites for specific eligibility, don't be afraid to call the POC's and ask questions, they often know who you need to talk to and can get you the answers even if you are not ready to commit. and most importantly talk to the Sr leaders in and around your unit, they are typically a wealth of knowledge on these subjects.

these are active duty links but they will have good information and POC's that can give you the correct or current POC's and/or information.
