VA guidlines on proper medical treatment

Just wanted to ask if any other veterans out there diagnosed with severe chronic pain issues related to their service have been cut cold turkey on their pain meds because the va refuses to stand up for veterans rights to the DEA? Just trying to find some information on this topic and whether or not it's an issue I should or shouldn't take up with the patient advocate. Have been having to contact my patient advocate a lot lately to to poor treatment for myself and other veterans. I also believe the reason possibly for them giving me a much harder time now after dealing with the va's bureaucratic practices is because I refuse to stay silent when myself and other veterans are being mistreated. Any information on this topic would be helpful and greatly appreciated because I know I'm not the only veteran going through these issues and I know that I'm not the only one fighting back.
