We find so many Veterans who are not in the VA System. Why can't every active duty person be enrolled and leave the military with a VA Card? With the vast majority of Veterans never taking advantage of the many benefits available, this would be one giant step towards helping so many of them.

If a Veteran was prevented from attending school due to a serious illness or disability, they may be eligible for a GI Bill extension: https://www.va.gov/resources/getting-a-gi-bill-extension/.
If a Veteran was not able to use their MGIB before they expired, they may be eligible for other benefits through the Veteran Readiness and Employment program (VR&E), as long as they have a service-connected disability rating of at least 10%. The VR&E program can help Veterans with job training, education, employment accommodations, resume development, and job seeking skills coaching. VR&E participants are also eligible to receive a monthly subsistence to help cover personal expenses while attending school or training.

While women-owned and 8(a) businesses are given advantages in government grants, veteran and disabled veteran-owned businesses do not enjoy the same benefits—how is the VA working to change this disparity?
I had a younger brother that was in North Carolina and drank plenty of water just like i did when i was
there, he fought them for many years with issue and was sent to many different VA hospitals, and after 14 years of fighting and testing they find stage 4 cancer, now I don't understand how they did that and can't find 123. and than and only than decided to pay him for drinking that water and yes he passed very short time after they put him thru hell. Why dont the goverment get there act together and take care of us that drank that water you all know we been there all you have to do is look at the DD2114 it a no branner, unless you all draggen it out to avoid paying us, we aren't asking for much just what we fought for our country, and now we get a kick in the butt by our goverment.
I wont go thru with my brother did with the VA, but will fight them for what they did to us Veterens from North Carolina, many had already passed onto another place better than the USA, but those that are still hear needs to be treated like a VET not a number.

Programs of education are approved for GI Bill purposes by a state approving agency (SAA) or the Department of Veterans Affairs in accordance with statutory and regulatory provisions and agency guidance.
The programs of education include a wide variety of education and training. The programs include, but are not limited to,
• Programs at nonaccredited and accredited educational institutions that lead to a certificate, a degree, or an educational, vocational, or professional objective;
• Licensing or certification tests for a predetermined vocation or profession;
• National tests for admission to (e.g., the Scholastic Aptitude Test [SAT]) or course credit at institutions of higher learning;
and
• Apprenticeships or other on-the-job training programs.
GiI Bill students can use dual-majors, but would need to talk with the individual school to ensure both majors are GI Bill approved.
