In order to resume your benefits, you must provide evidence showing you are not a fugitive felon. Examples of such evidence are:
• A copy of a court order that clears or vacates the warrant within 30 days of issuance;
• A copy of evidence that a court specifically determined the warrant void from its inception because of mistaken identity or a defect in the warrant;
• A copy of a court order that finds the recall is effective from a specific date that is on or before the date of the warrant was received;
• A copy of the court order noting that the warrant was “nunc pro tunc,” correcting
the date of an earlier judgment;
• A police report, statement from the Social Security Administration, bank, or other reporting agency confirming theft of your identity; or
• Police report or statement stating your parole or probation was not violated.

Property taxes, including exemptions, are determined on a state-wide basis, not by the federal government. This question needs to be addressed to your state representatives as the VA has no control or power to change property taxes.

Significant enhancements to transparency and visibility of open claims have been made, ensuring national and local leadership have visibility of claims inventory. There are several options available for transportation that would not require any out-of-pocket expense from the Veteran. These include rideshare programs, Veterans Transportation Service, Volunteer Transportation Network, and for those in some of the highly rural areas, the Highly Rural Transportation Grant program.

You are encouraged to submit a claim for increased disability rating, especially with the recurrence of cancer and ongoing treatment. Veterans who experience a worsening of a service-connected condition or develop a new disability can file for an increased rating under 38 CFR §3.400(o)(2). You're right about it not being equitable. It is past time we tie the pay and benefits or our respresentatives to a percentage of what the average pay and benifits are for the American public. This would provide incentive for them to ensure the system is working for the people. Right now, the people are working for the system.
