There are over 1.5 million 501(c) Charitable organizations and government agencies and programs designed to assist veterans and any other demographic a veteran can fall into.
Does anyone know where there is a searchable database that a veteran can fill out his demographic data and zip code and get a list of assistance programs they qualify for and how to apply for them?
Or is this a bridge to far?

I started a question on here regarding something similar. I want to see about opening a homeless vet/job assist shelter in Ky. This has been on my mind for sometime and I'm beginning to look into it so that I can make it happen. It kills me to see what is happening to our brothers and sisters especially when VA is doing "so much". I have been attempting to locate information pertaining to veterans and homeless vets, but the information I have found, so far, is vague and sketchy at best.
If I had the money I would do it myself, but that just isn't feasible at the moment so I will need some assistance in order to make this happen.

Please also see https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/helping-homeless-veterans.

If anyone has any information please let me know.

Hey Guy, good topic. It really is shameful that there are vets falling between the cracks when our government spends so much on so many other programs. Here is a report that might help: http://www.va.gov/HOMELESS/docs/2010AHARVeteransReport.pdf
