Why does the PACT Law stop 7May1975 for Viet Nam veterans? I and many service members served in Viet Nam from 12-15May1975. 18 service members die and many were wounded in Viet Nam. The law doesn't help us veterans that served during this time. Plus, the most important thing that my son was born with Spina Bifida after my duty in Viet Nam?

Spina is a presumptive condition and you should file a claim for agent orange exposure. Get in touch with a good VSO and get that claim filed.

You should contact the VA. When the new PACT Act was signed it added new locations and time frames. And also added 2 new Agent Orange presumptive conditions.

Did you even contact the VA to see if you're eligible? That section you reference extended some areas. I don't think the whole Act only applies to those dates for Vietnam vets.

Yes! Every time l was told that the VA isn’t assisting and/or helping veterans with Agent Orange issues. Also, I spoke to the VA representative for Spina Bifida and he told me that your kid have to be alive today. The ones that are alive they will provide benefits to them. Most Spina Bifida kids are dead. Most kids die very young and have multiple disabilities. Please remember we are talking about over 40 years ago. When I signed up for the Agent Orange Registry the doctor told me that the VA never had a plan in place to help Viet Nam veterans. He told me that a group of doctors at a medical conference while on a break was sharing info with each other about veterans that was suffering with the same type symptoms. During their discussion they got together and shared info, and decide to to start a Agent Orange Registry so they could compare their medical findings. It was because of these concerned doctors that the VA just now are beginning to address Agent Orange. Also, the registry is just a list. It’s not even use to help veterans. It just documents your service, and family history. But, nothing has ever come of the information, it just sits in a database. I’m sorry about the long rant, I was trying to give you some history of what some of us veterans experience.
Thank You
