Nearly two weeks ago Texas was hit by the after effects of Hurricane Patricia. For the past 72 hours Texas was hit again with severe weather and this time it didn't take a hurricane.
It rained so much here that my house is on a hill...nearly to the top of a cul-de-sac and my backyard still flooded....and water was two inches up to my door. UGH
I hope RP members in the path of this horrific storm didn't get any damage or was hurt in any way.
Bad news is, next weekend we may be facing yet another storm.
Any RP members in Texas....be careful and take care.

Thankfully my brother and sister in law are doing okay. My brother's wife posts regular FB updates so I know they're doing okay. They live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

PO1 John Miller that's good. My parents are in the Dallas area too along with my brother and his family. I was actually in Dallas when Hurricane Patrica hit and Dallas got hit hard with solid non stop rain for 3.5 days...and they had a lot of rain with this storm...South Texas along the I 35 corridor was hit hard to include San Antonio, New Braunfels, San Marcos and Austin....and even though most of the rain has stopped....the flooding is starting. UGH!

I should probably call my brother and ask if he's okay though, as he drives trucks for a living. I'm sure he doesn't want to get caught in a flood driving a rig!

PO1 John Miller - Yep, you should. It's just one phone call and a minute of your time.

No issue here in my part of Central Texas.
For the most part I have little feelings towards the majority of injuries and deaths, many were avoidable, foreseeable....not all, but many.
If you drive into moving water (other than an emergency worker, Motor trying to reach her children, trying to escape worse conditions behind you, ect) you forfeit your rights to pity and "feelings".
If you "lived" though last years flood, rebuilt and are devastated in THIS years flood, you forfeit your rights to pity and "feelings"
If you live near the creek that floods, river that floods, and the rain is coming, causing the water to rise AND YOU STAY..you forfeit your rights to pity and "feelings"
Harsh..... Yes, so is life sometimes.. Make better decisions.
