So one crazy situation is i'm currently being re classed to an MOS that is currently hurting for my rank and I have orders already to report after the board is convened. Does any of this help my chances of not being selected? Also would anyone have a packet, I read there's a packet for submitting a rebuttal.

Go see legal. They can help you draft a letter and put together a strong defense. I know from experience.

I’m gonna need it, the ncoer that was given was poorly written and has no evidence to back up their claims. I hope the reviewers use some logic. They put no for sharp but I never received any punishment of anything for it. Their answer also is vague as to why it was no. Even my NCO who was in charge of me didn’t want to put it on ther but was told he had too. Downer to this whole thing is I’m currently at school changing my MOS and it’s going to be for nothing if I get QMP, it’ll be a waste of army money and on top of that I’ll arrive to my new duty station just to start out processing.

SFC (Join to see) - I too got a bad NCOER due to unforeseen issues. However, a lawyer at legal drafted the letter for me and basically guided me through the process. I submitted two letters. One to the evaluation branch at HRC and one to the QMP board. Evaluation branch accepted my letter and replaced my NCOER with a memo of non rated time. The QMP board did not accept my explanation and gave me six months to be out of the Army. With the results of the QMP board HRC also issued a MILPER message stating that if the document that triggered the QMP board had "since" been removed from your records by HRC that I would be given one last appeal. In my case it had, so I submitted my last appeal and was removed from the QMP list.
From my experience, the QMP board will not allow you to stay in with that bad NCOER. You have to petition to evaluation branch to remove it. You will need letters of recommendation from your COC at that time, and others to vouch for you. Good luck.

Alright, may I ask how long did it take for them to update your NCOER to non rated when you submitted the letter? I'm meeting with legal next Wednesday.

SFC (Join to see) - I just sent you a message. Go see legal. They can help you go through the process. I could have never done this alone.

Unfortunately, your Reclass will probably be suspended until the board makes its decision. Off the top of my head, I believe your AEA code will be adjusted to preclude any movement.
There's no packet specifically, just a letter to the president of the board plus any supporting documents for the board to consider.

I understand. Once you are notified of your review you are supposed to be stabilized until it's complete. Since a Reclass is typically accompanied by tdy enroute, your assignment should be deleted.
If you contact me by email [login to see] I will look up the specifics of your case if you like.

SFC (Join to see) - Sorry forgot to mention, I called transition and I will still continue on to my assignment after my reclassification course. So that's at least a positive, not sure I could sit out my time in Fort Benning. It'll be fun seeing my new unit and letting them know I won't be there long.
