Was there a change to the AIT for 17C (no longer going to Gordon), or is this just a formality that doesn’t matter?

Hey, so I only know a little bit, so don't quote me on this.
But word is that 17C is a 2 phase MOS (excluding Basic Training [BT] )
The reason for the confusion is that 17C is a new MOS and that it is still building the actual AIT portion, so the 2nd Phase (Which was suppose to be Fort Gordon) was still in the works. But at this point, the 2nd phase should be ready, my only guess would be you'd be assigned orders for it upon completion or near the end of the 1st Phase in Pensacola.
-Again, don't quote me on that ;)

The AIT for 17C (and 35Q) has been in Pensacola since inception. The Army is currently trying to develop their own course for Phase 1 to be able to teach at Fort Gordon with all later phases already being there.
