We have all had a subordinate that needed to go. What are some Rating Bullets you have used that were both funny and sad but true?

We have all had to write an evaluation form on a subordinate. As leaders we have all had a subordinate that should go do something else. What NCOER/OER bullets have you used or seen that while being funny are just way too sad that they were actually true.
For example I used this once "Displays the military bearing and discipline expected of an IET Private"

I tried to use one that an O-5 raised about $40 for a fund raiser. It's what they gave me for THEIR OER. Boss wouldn't let me use it. Those were full of prevarications but total honesty would be really tough

"If men were to follow this officer in to battle it would only be out of idle curiosity."
"His company performed admirably during the Los Angeles Riots under the capable leadership of his executive officer."

Don’t waste time on the bullets if you are sure of the decision to push him/her out Give them a 1.0 in any category and mark the box not recommended for retention. This makes the decision for them.

Actual first line of an OER I wrote on a 1LT,
“1LT X is a marginal officer...”
That individual never saw CPT.
I wrote these on a SSG I was chaptering, knowing fully that the CSM would laugh, and then kick it back to me.
-works adequately under direct supervision
-consistently converts oxygen to CO2
-would serve the Army best as a civilian

This officer did not provide an input to his fitness report after being contact twice by me and three times by the XO. Thus, his comments block is blank.

"Should not be allowed anywhere around weapons" --the career field was Security Police and required daily arming- "Cannot seem to stay awake under most circumstances" --again, USAF SP, perpetual guard duty. And, finally, "May at some point become a functioning human being, but I doubt he will ever become a functioning Airman. I tried, i really tried on this guy. Had to go before he got someone hurt, and this, from memory, is about what I wrote.

Saving this one for the LT! I know my 1SG will like this one too! What I'll do is randomly fill it out and stick it in with the daily report and then claim I'm a SPC, that's what we do! sometimes a good laugh is a good laugh.

Would better serve the Army in the rank specialist. Integrity questionable at best.

"Meets mission goals under close personal supervision". This is one of my favorites. After I got out, the soldier I gave this quote to was allowed to get promoted to E5!

I happened to get a look at one Officers eval. (I had a friend in the ships office) "Ensign ------------ has displayed a particular dedication in locating prop wash for his men to use in cleaning their gear." Charity forbids that I relate the outcome, but you can presume his career was abbreviated in the military.…...

Sgt_____ continues to elevates the standards in the same effective manner as he does on the Marksmanship qualification range, he continues to miss the set minima standards.
