We're a dual-military couple who are stationed apart. If I separate, is there a way to get my HHGs moved to his base?

It also depends on where he is stationed. The Navy will pay to have your HHG moved from where you are stationed to your home of record but no further. If you are stationed in California and he is stationed in Florida but your home of record is Utah they will only ship to Utah, after that you have to cover the costs from Utah to Florida. Now, If he is stationed in Nevada they will ship to Nevada. In short, If the distance you want to go is closer than the distance to your home of record they will ship.

From what I remember, they will still ship it to Florida (in your example) but you will have to pay the difference in cost.

I believe if you are married regardless of rank you are allowed to live together. (Based on where you’re at in training/ duty station) you should be able to live together but I think on/off post is based on rank.

Depending on the type of separation, you maybe authorized to move your HHG to somewhere. Big question is he set up to receive/store them?
