What achievements by your subordinates are you most proud of?

Early in my career I helped 3 of my soldiers prepare to meet the requirements for PA school and then helped them put their packets together.
All 3 of them are Army PA CPT's now and I've worked with each one of them.  Felt really good to see them successful.  
I also make them give me 10% of the base pay.  ;-)

I'm proud of every Soldier I've had that has ended up outranking me.

A brand new medic of mine hopped out of his vehicle on a convoy en route to a training exercise to help a civilian that had crashed. It is soldiers like this that deserve and should, be in the army.

When I arrived to the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), another Career Counselor arrived a month later and said he wanted to be the Secretary of the Army Career Counselor of the Year. &nbsp;This started our journey together.<br><br>After winning the a subordinate board and taking 2nd Place at the Secretary of the Army competition, he was disappointed and quickly said, "Now that I have the experience, I'll win next year." &nbsp;And he did!<br><br>These are the types of Soldiers that we should put on a pedestal and acknowledge their accomplishments...I know it helped helped my career, but better yet, he's a good friend doing better things for his subordinates now.

I had a Soldier who went on to guard the tomb of the unknowns as an E5 MP. My E1 from 2003 who is now an E7. The soldiers who got out and went on to have happy lives with their families.

I'm proud of anyone who achieves their goals.

I have to say I'm most proud of my subordinates when they use a piece of knowledge or TTP that I used when I didn't think they were watching or listening. Deviating slightly, I feel the same way when my kids do the same thing. 

I put one of my Soldiers in for a Warrior of the Week award while on deployment. The award went up to the brigade to which we were attached. As luck would have it, SMA Chandler was on site. So what started as a company award ended up an SMA coin and photo op with the SMA for my Soldier. All for being more than dependable on vehicle maintenance and prep for our mission vehicles during the Iraqi drawdown.

I was proud of all my subordinates. I can't take credit for any of their achievements but I bragged about them throughout my career. Two that really stood out...

Laura M. I remember one of her close friends went away for some extra duty and asked Laura to NOT advance in her job training until her friend returned. I ordered her to advance. Years later I was glad to hear she became an officer.

David P. He studied his ass off for SSgt promotion. That year he scored 100% on his CDCs, and had the highest WAPS score for his AFSC, ranked 1st for promotion.

Back when I was in, my proud moment was when we had a motor pool challenge.  We had to identify deadline gigs on the vehicles presented to us.  Then our assigned trucks were inspected by 'the pros.'  We not only ID'd the gigs, we did it in record time.  All our assigned trucks passed.  That means we accomplished the mission given to us.  We had zero 'no shows' due to maintenance.
