I am fresh into the military and do not have the full knowledge of the effects of war on a soldier but what I can say is that life can get very hard at times, especially mentally. If you are having those type of thoughts and feel you cannot control them, then I highly suggest seeing a professional who can help you out with the way you feel (depression, PTSD, etc). Life is short, and a life shouldn't end when a possible solution could of prevented it. Stay strong and remember you have thousands of brothers and sisters who will always be there for you. :)

You may be fresh into the military; SPC (Join to see), and you are a private: however you are wise beyond your years, and rank.
Please impart this information to your Brothers and Sisters; as much and as often as possible. It would be better that they be overly-advised and safe; than under-advised and dead by their own hand.
THANK YOU, PRIVATE!

Of couse now they don't want combat vets they want you to come back to garrision and be educated and then if you are getting out its ok to let them know that you have PTSD but if you want to be promoted you don't want it recorded in your medical file as its a stigma and it will stop your military career and you will get a medical .Its like they used your combat knowledge and know its time to cease fire so to speak and be ready for civilian life . Been in for twenty and have seen everything but have keep a clear mind and then went to the civilian side and have seen more and together have come out a complete person and love life as long as they let me stay here .
