What advice would you give regarding my Warrant Officer application packet? Should I go 923A or 153A?

I'm working a WO packet. I'll complete ALC this fall & will be eligible for 923A. I'm a 92F & I'm also interested in applying for 153A. Which WOMOS do you think I'd have a better chance of getting? I have a perm. profile and would need a APFT waiver. What is the likelihood that a waiver would be granted? Where should my focus on the application be? Resume? LoRs? Any insights are appreciated!

You will have to pass a 1A flight physical for 153A. That could affect your chances depending on what you profile is for.

Just out of curiosity, have you asked any Warrant Recruiters these questions yet? They often have the most up-to-date information and a pulse on what they are seeing get approved when it comes to waivers. I can also tell you that they are hurting right now for Warrants and aren't getting enough applications so that only helps to increase your chances of getting selected.

Have you talked to anyone in branch or even the academy at Ft. Rucker? I would think they woukd be able to give guidance since they have probably come across this in the past. Good kuck

SGT Hall needs to talk to her Warrant Officer Strength Manager for her state for more details on pre determination requirements. She can also visit the Warrant Officer Recruiting page at usarec.army.mil.
Unfortunately, IAW AR 350-1, the only authorized alternate event for the APFT is the 2.5 Mile Walk (with an approved Army G-3/5/7 waiver, which would be for an injury attained in combat). The push- up and sit-up events are non-waiverable.
