I just got to my unit this week. And I felt a bit weird just for that fact the their was time I was kinna lost and I was asking the guys in my squad for help or what should I do or help with it most just walk away, n where to find them or toll me they don’t know what’s happen. I get it I know I has to find my own way and learn everything in a way on my Own but I don’t want them to think I’m just another lazy sack. I’m the only private everyone else is a specialist

PV2 MR. first it saids a lot about you that you ask questions. Second you still post questions for answers. That’s how you learn. Keep it up. The right mentor will come alone to show you. Those E-4s you speak of may wear the tank BUT it takes more than rank to be the rank. Keep studying and asking questions and remember you are not limited to ONLY the guys in your unit. The service is a brotherhood. Good luck.

The advice I always give is to keep every piece of paper the Army gives you. You never know when it could come in handy down the road - even in a few years. And this goes double for anything you have to put your signature on!

Know you’re shiii and out do those guys in PT you’ll get the respect of the NCO’s faster if you make those guys look bad
