No base is going to cater to 92A. You're an E4 92A you're not going to get a job at a logistics hub until you're a senior NCO. Your primary job right now is to develop your Soldier skills and understanding your job. Further down the road you will focus on more advanced skills and certifications. Your MOS's sticking point for promotion is making SSG. It can take years for a 92A SGT to make SSG. If you don't work on your Soldier skills now you will never make enough points to to make SSG.

Pick a location that you would like to work at. You don't get to pick the unit or which battalion you'll end up in. There are 92As anywhere you have combat units, pick two or three of those posts and stop looking for unicorn assignments or the good assignments will be taken.

As a 92A30 E6, go where no one wants to go and shine. That's how you'll find the unit that caters to a 92A at any level. Go there and recycle the garage no one wants to handle. You'll make your career easily. Work hard and take ownership of the AO that your assigned. Don't choose a location based on "everyone wants to go". Most likely the place that no one wants to go, the hardship/operational ones will have less alpha's and more opportunities/skills/awards for you to acquire.

Sir, with respect, a 92A can go just about anywhere. Your question of a base catering to your MOS is the wrong attitude, in my opinion. The question should be where can you serve most effectively? You have had the training, probably at Ft. Lee so you have the tech skills so what are some things that interest you? Wherever you choose serve well.

Respectfully sergeant I don't think that should be my question. Empathize that I am at a aviation post geared towards aviation MOSs. Aside from the range, PT,etc helping with career progression nothing at my post is geared specifically towards logisticians which is what I am. Being a better soldier is what I'm striving to be but a part that is being placed where I can learn to be a better logistician

SGT (Join to see) I understand your dilemma. My question still stands; what do you want to do with your down time, what are your interests? I applaud your statement of wanting to be an asset to both the Logistician branch and Army in general. A good mindset will take you far. True, some branches will see promotions come more rapidly so maximize points. Continuing education (both the Army Center for Professional Development and civilian schools), talk with folks outside your MOS (you may find yourself wanting to move to a different branch, improve your PT score, range score, and just let your actions show your NCOs and officers a soldier who is inspired and inspiring. I don't know if this helps but I do wish you well in the Army.
