My boyfriend just PCSed to OCONUS and I am here CONUS and my TOS is 3 months. Him and I are going to get married and file joint spouse with a waiver for the TOS requirement which is 12 months. Does anyone know any option to get him and I joint spouse assigned??? I need to know my options to get my waiver approved whether it's getting pregnant or just him PCSing back to CONUS where I am stationed and exactly where he PCSed from from OCONUS. To clarify, he PCSed to italy from georgia and I'm stuck in georgia where we met and he was stationed here for over 2 years and I've been stationed here for 3 months.

I'm assuming your BF is Army. The waiver you're talking about will allow HRC to waive TOS down to 12 months. There is no waiver short of the Commanding General of Human Resources Command granting an exception to the DOD policy that will let him move with less than a year on station. Even in the Air Force, you are still bound by the same DOD policy : no more than one PCS during calendar year or fiscal year. Getting married doesn't cause either the Army or the Air Force to spontaneously move you, it allows you two to be considered for a joint domecile on your next duty station. Getting pregnant will actually stabilize you at your location for even longer. Your BF is stuck in Italy until the end of his DEROS. If he was stationed in GA before then he was placed on the accompanied three year tour. After you two are married he can request a change of tour to a two year tour.

TL;DR you two are going to have to wait a year or two to get stationed together

Getting pregnant to get a joint assignment not the wisest thing. Also, you aren’t married so nothing is in the table. When you do get married you will be put in the program. Then you can begin to request waivers. Anything is possible. You should expect to stay in GA for a while.

"Getting pregnant to get a joint assignment not the wisest thing".
Was that the wisest garbage for you to post here?
Really? ... And you were a CSM?

You obviously misunderstood my point. Would you advise anyone to get pregnant to change or avoid something. Having children is an awesome responsibility, I would never. I will not dignify your response with one of my own.MSG (Join to see)

Shame on you! She wasn't asking any advise on her pregnancy. She wondered to know her option for joint spouse assignment? That's all she was asking. And you're "Full Metal Jacket" on her privacy. Decency is the quality or state of being decent. Shame on you!

1. Until the virus thing is settled you are not going to see him, and you probably won't be allowed in the country. 2. You can't sign up for MCAP until you are married. 3. If you could/try to get pregnant, you could be chaptered out. 4. MCAP says they will try their best to jointly assign you both to the same base, or in close proximity- but it is based on MOS and doesn't always work.
