Hello! Wanted to verify if anyone has some information about possible duty stations as a 31B. My career counselor is in leave until March and I want to have some realistic options ready for when I meet up with her.

A 31B can go anywhere. There are Military Police on nearly every installation across the globe. Your options are generally limitless.

As a MP every where is a possible duty station. Where do you want to go? Your going to run into the issue of reenlisting for training and not a duty station they will most likely have you needs of the army for your first duty station as an MP. Also why do you want to reclass to a MP?

.... take a large wall-size map of the world, turn away from it and take 12 paces toward the rear of it. Take a dart, any size dart, turn and quickly throw. Where it lands is where you go (or nearby that point). Enjoy your new and exciting career.

First and foremost.. you should be asking what positions are open as opposed to where can I go.. dept of the army looks at where there are gaps to fill.. second what can I do with the position that’s open.. is there room to grow or am I stuck in a dead end job... come up with a list of choices Korea Bragg Hawaii... and then airborne school maybe air assault.. make sure it’s realistic choices .. then present that to your career counselor.. while it’s true every post has MPs... not all post are available depending on manning requirements... also some more post require a higher security clearance ... so some jobs will not be on your lists..

Will keep that in mind! I am hoping for Germany, Alaska or Washington. I am currently stationed at FT Bliss

Try to avoid Germany as well. You'll be more of a security guard than an actual LEO.

Try to get Fort Hood! Best duty station for a new MP. You’ll get to see and do pretty much everything there is to do for an MP

Haha I actually wanted to get out of Texas, I am stationed at FT Bliss right now! But I've heard is a bug base so it's definitely a possibility!

Anywhere there are soldiers, MPs are there, sometime a BT, some times 1 or 2.

The profile I have is for me not to lift more than 75lbs, is not permanent as I am still going to physical therapy. A SGT said here to contact MP branchange directly how do I do that?
