Just trying to see what I can switch to before I get my P status. I'm already KD complete on my 2O level just not sure if I can even do anything until I'm KD complete as a SSG

I think you have some of these terms confused. An assignment is not something that you take to fill time between now and your next promotion. Your primary broadening assignments are drill sergeant and recruiter, and possibly instructor if you are jtac certified.
What you should be focused on right now for career progression is Advanced schooling. Ranger school, jtac, airborne, air assault, jumpmaster, Pathfinder, combatives, battlestaff, fries master, slic, or anything else like that

I don't think KD means what you think it means brother... How do you figure you're KD complete?

My advice is get that Company FSNCO/BN targeting time knocked out first. After you are done with that then look into a broadening assignment. With our MOS branch isnt going to send you anywhere until you do.

MSG (Join to see) it's an officer term. Technically, we don't have key development positions. There are just guidelines that the proponent establishes where they want us to fill our MOS duties for that skill level

To add KD for certain MOSs will mean leadership positions in each rank like Team Leader (SGT) and Squad Leader/Section Chief (SSG).

He means branch certified. Although KD is an officer term its used on the enlisted side by some in place of branch certified.

The enlisted managers use the term as well, and KD positions are now outlined on CMF career maps.. It may have started as an officer term, but it's a universal term now...
