Anyone have advice or examples of translating military resume to civilian? (especially for former PME Instructors) Your advice would be greatly appreciated as I get started. Thanks!

You can equate military instruction very similar in the civilian world. Instructor/Developers focusing on the field assessment resulting in training requirements tied to the development of new and the redesign of old platforms etc. You can also translate you NCO leadership into civilian supervisors. The traits and characteristics Cary over very easily as well. You should also have a rep at the base transition office whose sole purpose is to assist with these translations. Thank you for your service.

Thanks...one more question: I served 1983 to 1992. After 25 years out, would that rep at the base transition office still be willing to help? Or are they geared towards those currently getting out?

They are geared toward those that are current. However your local Legion Hall or VFW should have someone who can help. SSgt David Macer
