What are some of the best name combinations you came across while serving?

I knew a Soldier  with the last name Major and he was a sergeant, so when someone would call his name SGT Major, Soldiers would go to parade rest or the Sergeant Major (E-9) would turn around.

I used to work with a SPC Poage. I find that hilarious. And right now in our unit we have George Jones and Peter Parker. Then we also have SPC Cain and SPC Abel. Except when they had an MME match Abel slew Cain. Although working in call centers I have come across Richard Seamen and Phuc Mi.

When my cousin was in the Navy, he was Seaman Gleman. He caught a lot of sh*t for that in Basic. Brutal. :)

We have a CW2 Duty, a CW2 Sergeant, and a LTC (Join to see) in my unit. All pretty good.

Went to basic with a Private Soldier. I wish I'd seen him make sergeant. That would have been awesome.

I knew a Captain whose last name was "General." That means at some point prior he was "Lieutenant General," and soon after I knew him I heard he got promoted, which would make him "Major General." Only person I can think of who goes down in rank by going up...

I also knew a Major Lipp. She was not at all a wordy or confrontational person, but people would crack jokes about it anyway. Oh, and her first name was Cherry, and she was decent looking, so behind her back some of the more sexist guys would make jokes about "where Cherry Lipp's Cherry Lips could go." More than once people had to be reported for that one (including reported by me), but unfortunately, in the time I knew her they always seemed to get out of trouble somehow.

In my battalion we have a Soldier Drinkwine and I have a Soldier called Drinkwater.

I can only imagine Drinkwater at basic...."DRINK WATER" and she come running over.....must have been most hydrated unit ever!

This isn't military, but my wife was a TA and one of her students was named "Shithead" -- pronounced Shi-theed. What parent in their right mind would name their kid that?!!

My unit did something to me that was dirty.  They had a soldier who had my same first and last name.  They assigned him to me!  That was confusing at times!
