I am a sailor currently full time support on Navy C40s in Virginia. I want to go back home once I am done with my active duty, but would like to continue serving on a reservist level, most likely in the army. What are some of the better Jobs/ MOS available in Minnesota?

The infantry and armor units are pretty squared away!

For a while, a good portion of the armor units couldn’t keep a civilian job because of ridiculous mutas. Did they fix that?

The reserves have very few if any cmbat MOS' however there are a ton of combat support (Intell and Engineer) and support (Truck drivers and HR).

My question is which MOS' are generally better, as in drill weekend life/annual training. Chances to go on orders, deployment opportunities. Valuable technical training for the civilian world.

PO2 (Join to see) with the reserves, pretty much any but intelligence drives the fight, so I would look in that direction.

The Army Reserve or Army Reserve National Guard? There is a difference. Use the Army Reserve Unit Locator (Google) for Minnesota and surrounding states. That will drive what MOSs are there.

Some common ones: 92Y, 74D, 42A, 11B (ARNG), 91B

Call a recruiter for the Reserve and ARNG in the area to find out what options you have.
