Currently I am a Cadet doing my DPT. I was curious on what my options were to possibly delay commission in some form so I may take my boards. I understand ed delay is not an option. the earliest to take my boards is 3 months after I graduate (which is when I am suppose to commission). Goal is for med specialist.

As MAJ Javier Rivera mentioned below, talk to your PMS. Another option is to commission and attempt to get a later BOLC class date to report to.

Seen it happen.
Edit: And it still needs a conversation with the PMS. Keeping her/him blind of it will definitely will decrease your chances with your gaining branch manager at HRC. Your PMS could be a great advocate (perhaps your only) on your endeavor.

How quick are they assigning BLC's classes these days? Granted it's been a few years, but I commissioned in July, took the first open school seat, and did not report until November. Talk to your PMS about school dates, my experience says that may not be as big an issue as you think.
