Although Ft. Hood has had several incidents, I always felt safe. We lived on post and loved it. My son's school was so awesome. Loved the housing area and neighborhood.

i had a lot of bad issues with fort carson's housing company which ended up costing us a lot of money, i'm trying to get a car for my wife to be able to get out of the house while i'm at work and to get our three year old into pre school, would you happen to know how much they charge for E4?

No, sorry I can't remember. It was about the same as an apartment off post though. If that helps. I think it's on the FT Hood website under housing. I went back in as E-4 at the time with 2 dependents. It was about 5 years ago.
