In looking for some creative writing tips I came across this article about writing while inebriated. Turns out Ernest Hemingway was on to something with his advise in “Write drunk, edit sober”. Curious if there are other areas in our lives that might actually be for the better with a few libations. In looking at the list in the article - seems the military community may think and talk as if we are drunk - you curse more, you're direct and say what you mean and antagonists become lovable assholes - sounds about right.

Very true - considering Hemingway blew his head off with a shotgun - maybe not the best guy for advice.

Who hasn't done that. Older brothers and I used to have a blast when parents were gone. That's until the jig was up; my oldest bounced and took out 1/4 sheet of drywall. No explaining that.

I knew some people who chugged beer before competing in chainsaw contests.
