What are some towns I should consider moving to in New Mexico or Arizona that are at least 45 miles away from the nearest VA?

I’m a 100 % Service Connected Veteran, looking to move away from California to either Arizona or New Mexico. Need to be 45 miles from a VA Healthcare Hospital it Community Clinic. I have aid and attendance and am looking to be as far from a VA as possible. The politics of pain control have taken over my VA in Loma Linda, CA. Was told I can use VA choice as I’m a Cat 1 vet. Must be further than 45 miles away for private md use.

SAVAHCS is located in Tucson Arizona. It is considered one of the top VA hospitals. Sierra Vista, in Cochise County, is more than 45 miles from SAVHACS so you can use a VA Choice. However, it has a very small hospital and other medical facilities as the population is only around 42,000. Sierra Vista is home to Fort Huachuca, so there is a greater military presence. There are other beautiful areas in Cochise County to reside. Cochise County has a milder climate than Tucson as it is higher in elevation.
