The Army Pre-Commission Correspondence Course has TONS of points, garnered as you complete each subcourse. It will take a while to complete the course but you start getting points right away.

I know you don't get points for it anymore with exception to commandant list and distinguished honor grad but have you been to BLC? Also how are you looking on awards? If you are looking for ways to get one, the easiest way to start for me was boards. Also, start doing community service and logging it to go towards an MOVSM. PT/Weapons is where you can really up your points. As far as military schools, try asking if you can go airborne, air assault, SERE, CLS, Bus Driver, and MOS specialty schools. the possiblities are endless, just depends on what you want to do and what your unit allows you to attend. You can always try to enroll/request for thngs, the worst thing that can happen is to be turned down.

If one can convince NG unit to send the Soldier to ranger school then that "act" in itself is promotion worthy

What are some ways to raise promotion points (currently at 370)? Are there any worthwhile courses/videos?

Weapons and pt are the easiest and since the new promotion point system, are worth a lot of points so a higher score can really help you out. Civilian education is the other big one. Go to school, go to school, go to school. If you plan to make the army a career this is a must plus it's worth lots of points.

Go to the HCR website and look up your promotion points work sheet. It will tell you what points that you have where. You can see where you don't have points. Weapons and PT are quick to rise. Schools and awards take time and opportunity, take the opportunities that you get and look for more. Long term go to school college is important and only gets more important as you go up in rank. If you are not using you TA then you are wrong.

I've maxed out the civilian education with my degree but my military education is where I'm lacking and I believe that'd be my best step. I'm currently at 256 hours for my Computer Based Training. Also the 370 isn't counting my APFT points because I'm still waiting for my last PT test to be uploaded.

SSG (Join to see) - well you have the hard part out of the way keep on working on civilian education. Get your records updated and keep them updated you must have a current APFT to get promotable and to stay promotable. If you don't have a 300 keep working towards it. The fastest thing that you can do to get more points is to finish your computer based training now, don't put it off. Ask to go to the schools that you can get to make you better at your job and a better soldier.

That's originally what I was reaching out for was help with computer based training. I saw a lot of posts from 1+ years ago talking about the best courses to take or best courses with the most amount of hours. I know since then some have either been removed or dropped in value of hours. I'm hoping someone who recently completed the hours sees this posts and gives me their insight.
