Last year Amazon gave a $40 discount to veterans joining Amazon Prime. Got it thru a link from VA News. Great deal. Not sure if they will this year, but be on the lookout.

I usually ate at TX Roadhouse or Applebees on Veterans Day. Too bad, this year I will not be eating in any restaurants. Hopefully, by this time next year, things will be better ...

I can't afford too much. VA only gives me $3900 (tax free) and SSI's only $1900 so I clear less than $6000 per month (but do get free medical and dental). Anyone want to loan me $20 until payday?

Wasn't listed by the VA, but Kohl's department stores are offering 30% off merchandise (some exclusions may apply), Nov 11th through Nov 15th. It can be combined with other offers, and sales and clearance items. I do not know if this is nationwide, or even statewide (posted from Daytona Beach, Florida). Contact them to confirm.
