What are the best duty locations a 13F could be stationed at? I know there are google answers, but I’m looking for the first hand experience answers from CURRENT soldiers.

I was a 13F prior to being appointed a Warrant Officer. The assignments I enjoyed to most was was Ft. Hood. Yeah I know, BUT, I like the outdoors and Texas has plenty of outdoors activity. I was stationed there twice once in 1CAV and once in 2AD.

That would depend of the person and the unit. If you like snow for drum is for you. If you like mountains fort Carson. Each unit is different. Each command is different. You could get a commander who doesn’t care or you could get one who is all about staying late because he doesn’t like his family. There really is not right answer that fits everyone.

It all depends on the FIST in each individual unit for quality of training. Get in touch with the ASOS and train with your JTACs.

Fort Carson has been the most enjoyable for me in my time. The terrain sucks when you’re out there humping it with your maunuever, but the area is great. Absolutely the best location stateside. Idk how the unit is anymore since I left, but 2nd BDE was on constant deployments or missions. My unit specifically deployed to Afghanistan twice and did a month long training rotation in Germany during the time I was there. I believe 2SBCT is in Syria right now.
