What are the best free things or discounts you get around Veterans Day?

Applebee's give a free meal to the vet. They were the first national brand company to do so.

I started out in the reserves for 2 years, and went active for 2 years. This was before the Gulf War started, but I do not qualify for most discounts of anything, because I didnt retire and there was no conflict when I served. It makes me feel like I'm not really a Veteran.

My Favorite freebie restaurant on Veterans Day - Applebee's lunch with my WWII veteran father-in-law. This picture was taken 2 years ago, he passed away this year.

McCormick & Schmick's seafood & steak will do it the Sunday before Veterans day. To many to name for Nov 11 and Golden Corral will do it the Monday after Veterans day

Veterans Day Breakfast at the York Fair Grounds it is an excellent meal and program for all to enjoy even features a piper. How can you beat that. Lunch at Mission BBQ is awesome to but tough to do both on the same day ;-)

Sunmart grocery store here in my town offers a 10% discount to veterans EVERY DAY
