Ran the Round the Island Run(Hawaii) with members of my Plt. Team effort rotating every 2 miles. may not have been the best but it was certainly the most fun. Started at approx. 2100 hrs finished at approx 1700 hrs. Beer never tasted so good as the pitcher we shared afterward.

I love those kind of finishes.

Am I reading that right? 20 hours?
MSG Frederick Otero
MSgt (Join to see) - Yep, started approx at 2030 hrs and team place 49th but have no idea how many teams ran. Still have the plaque. We ran 2 miles then switched runners from the support vehicle and the next guy ran the next 2 miles ect ect. The morning portion was the best as we experienced the sunrise. Injury toward the end to one of the runners so we had to run longer legs and enlisted the driver of support vehicle to run a few legs. He hated running but agreed. Team of 5 runners and the driver. The runners were all from my medical Plt. of the 25th Inf Div. The starts were staggered with the fastest teams starting earlier then approx every 15min. after the first team took off.
I've always wanted to do the Bataan Death March. Not sure if I have it in me. But, my heart says yes.

PO2 Brian Rhodes - It is a march in memory of the actual event. Held at the White Sands missile range. And I believe it is a 26 mile (optional) ruck in honor of the 26 who died during the actual march. ...I may be somewhat inaccurate.
Our daughter finished the Marine Corps Marathon but you'd better be one of the first to enroll because it closes almost immediately.......................
I had the opportunity to do a Marine Mud Run while I was at Fort Gordon, Georgia in 2009. It was a mandatory team mud run and the most difficult and fun mud run I have ever completed. It took all four team members to complete many of the obstacles and I have never been as muddy in any other runs I have completed. 10/10 would recommend, if they still do it.
I was proud to do an 11 mile run in Alaska on Ft. Wainwright and I hope to do the Honolulu marathon here in Hawaii.
Mine. I am the Race Director for the Remembrance Walk/Run held every Friday before Memorial Day Weekend. This year 26 May 2017 from 1800 to 2200. 100% of all proceeds go towards building the Veterans Park. $45k raised to date over 5 events.

SSG (Join to see) - Siouxland Freedom Park at the intersections of Foundry Road and Riverview Drive in South Sioux City, NE. As Facebook continues to evolve their pages- they always seem to remove to important info. There used to be a map with Google directions under the title. I will to to insert on into the About information section when I get a chance.
I did the Pendleton Mud Run every year I could while stationed in San Diego.. both the marines and YMCA but the ones the Marines put on was a great deal more fun to me. Ive heard nothing but good things about the Air force marathon but i quit doing marathon distance before getting a chance to do it. If i start again ill prob prioritize doing ASAP, its supposedly very good. Frogman challenge looks like a great deal of fun if they still do it (idk for sure). The marines host other races at Pendleton. I haven't tried them but one that includes mountain biking (friend said it was a blast)..
Partispated in some Volksmarsches on base. Went for the 12ks in the 3 I did, would of had another but I deployed so I had to miss. I got back and found they had to cancel because a lot of the participants were on our deployment..
I never understood why they didn't reschedule the next year.. Bad part of not doing the marsche is I had to do do the PT
Test that year.. people would say I was crazy for wanting to do the marsche.. PT test was only a mile-1/2 and a few calisthenics.. true but they didn't give you beer & brats & hot German potato salad after a PT test either!. Because we got
PT credit , we weighed in first before eating.
