What are the best resources for Veterans & Service Members?
Military budgets, which are often already stretched to their limits, do not contain a lot of money for buying Christmas presents. However, military families are also some of the most deserving people during the holiday season. To help thank military families for the sacrifices made year-round, many organizations offer programs to make Christmas possible for deserving military families, especially those with children who deserve to have a joy-filled Christmas. We often get emails from people asking how they can help military families in need of assistance during the holiday season.

Holiday $$$ Help for Military Families | My Military and Money
The holiday season can bring both joy and stress to military families, not only emotionally but financially. Gifts and get-togethers are great, but expenses can run high! For service members and their families who seek financial assistance, here are some examples of resources that may be available nationally, or in your local community:
Joint Base Lewis-McChord Santa's Castle has been making the holidays brighter for children of military families since 1994. This all volunteer, nonprofit organization has been providing holiday gifts to children of Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine, Coast Guard, activated National Guard and Reserve families (E-4 and below) who are experiencing financial difficulties. Accepting monetary and new toy donations year round, Santa's Castle relies on the generosity of donors and volunteers alike. Last year, Santa's Castle provided gifts to more than 2,300 children from 980 families.
