Without a doubt, there are truly some great resources available to active and Reserve component personnel and veterans. Of course, if folks don't know that they're out there, members and their families couldn't possibly benefit from some of these amazing offers and services. So, the idea here is to share those helpful tidbits of information, tips, links, lessons learned, processes, resources, wisdom and/or POCs to help members find the resources they need for their troops, their families, and to help themselves. Just a couple of quick admin notes, please make sure to share the source if known, and remember to post in accordance with RallyPoint guidelines. Well, I'm certain that will be a great way to get timely information, resources, and assistance to those who need it most, when they need it the most... so, if you have something useful, helpful, or good-to-know, please feel free to share. The Reserve Educational Assistance Program for education, licensing, and certification. For our Reserve Component personnel, here's some great information provided by SPC PK. http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/corres/pdf/132230_2014.pdf The authority for the program is described in Department of Defense Instruction (DODI) 1322.30, Research Educational Assistance Program (REAP), 14 March 2014.

This thread has been in rotation for over 4 years now. There are innumerable resources that cross a myriad of subjects. It is my belief that this thread, and threads like it, are one of the main reasons RP was created and continues to exist.
While it is not a 'catchy' thread, it stays relevant, current, and with a bunch of work, available for any who need to find a RESOURCE in this vast internet sea of information. I hope to find some time this summer to better organize it so we improve our assistance capabilities in the future.

Free counseling for ALL Veterans, serving members and their families. If anyone is having issues finding a good counselor, this place offers 100% FREE local counseling to all Veterans. By all, I mean all. Discharge status, peacetime, none of thst matters. All of the counselors are local who have signed up to provide a year of weekly counseling to Vets. I have personally used them and they are legit.
