I would say some traits of an authentic leader is definitely integrity, honesty, treat people with respect and the way you would like to be treated.

Someone who wouldn't ask the people under them to do something they wouldn't do. Also someone who is there when his team needs to talk or ask questions. They have to be honest and follow the rules. They also have to lead by example
