Integrity, honesty, character, love of God, country and family, respect for law and order, speak only when necessary but act every time needed, protect the rights of others - friend or foe. . . People want to become a part of this country because there are still people willing to lead to keep us a nation of free people, no matter our mistakes of the past. And we need leaders more now than ever before.

The best traits in an authentic leader is someone who is willing to serve others first. You cannot be a good leader if you haven't served others or put others before yourself. Another trait needed to be an authentic leader is understanding and knowing who is on your team. Fully knowing the people who are on your team will help in knowing what task to assign to who on your team. You have to be someone who can build others up and be a team player. You have to be willing to go anywhere you send your team. A leader needs to earn respect.

1. Communicate clearly the expectation set forth.
2. Support those that are delegated the task to be accomplished.
3. Don't play favorites with the Yes Sir, or Yes Ma'am.
4. Listen to those attempting or communicating concerns.
5. Set the example first.
6. Lead by stepping up front.
7. Become an unconscious competent leader.
